The club name Satorishido is made up of three Japanese words; Satori Shi Do which means Ultimate Knowledge in the Way of the Warrior. The Association is a constituted organisation incorporating an elected committee and also has charitable status.

The student base has been steadily increasing over the past four years to over 150 Karate Students and over 100 Kickboxing students taking part each week. Ages vary from 5 years to 50 years of age.

The club has 13 instructors and assistant instructors taking classes each week in Fraserburgh, St Combs,New Deer, Ellon and Aberdeen. details of the nearest club to you can be obtained on this website.

Many of the clubs Kickboxing students have competed at high levels in competition, resulting in the club obtaining Scottish,British, European, Intercontinental and World Champions over the past 4 years.

in addition our students have travelled all over europe and appeared on Sky TV , Eurosport,Channel5 and Grampian TV.

Gradings for th Karate and Kickboxing are conducted every 4 months. There are nine belts for each discipline.

Every student who attends must be licensed and insured through the club, these run fro September to September each year.

It is the intension of the Satorishido Martial Arts Association to take the sport of Karate and Kickboxing to higher levels and be the new generation of Martial Arts in the 21st Century.

The Satorishido Association conducts classes in Freestyle Karate, Kickboxing, Self-Defence ,Tai Chi and Traditional Weapons training.

Senior Instructor and Chairman of the Satorishido Martial Arts Association is Sensei Albert Ross who holds the rank of Black Belt 3rd Dan in Karate and Kickboxing.

The Satorishido Martial Arts Association is affiliated to the World Kickboxing Network W.K.N. and the British Karate Association both very good sound organisations.

Aberdeenshire Multi Agency Strategy Group on Domestic Abuse has approved the Satorishido Self Defence courses run at its Fraserburgh Headquarters.
