Kickboxing has become one of the most popular ways to keep fit. It is one of the best cardio vascular workouts and numbers attending the classes at James Ramsey Park have grown each year.
There are mixed kickboxing classes every monday night which run from 8pm to 9.30pm and every Thursday night from 7.30pm to 9pm. |

| The ladies classes run every Tuesday night from 6.15pm till 7.45pm and now a class for Junior members has started every Tuesday from 8.00pm to 9.15pm as well as every Friday from 7pm to 8.30pm. |

Black Belt 1st Dan in kickboxing and Karate
Douglas Morrison started training with sensei Ross at the age of ten years old and is one of our instrucors at our ellon & aberden satorishido establishments.
Now at the age of 23 he has achieved considerable status in Martial Arts.
in addition to Instructing in Karate and kickboxing he has been W.K.N Intercontinental
Amateur Champion. |

Mr.Morrison has fought against Arid Micarson the Norwegian Champion over 5 rounds at
the Park Avenue Hotel in Belfast, Douglas stopped him in the 5th round by way of knockout.
Micarson then stepped up a weight category and took the World title at Pailey town hall on the 12th November 2004. All that there is left to achieve for Douglas is the World Championship Belt.

Douglas did fight the World Champion, Mr Gary Node in Belfast on 19th September 2003. The fightwas televised by Eurosport and Douglas won by KO in the first round, unfortunately this was not for the World title. Mr Node unfortunately retired after the fight.
We have plans in motion to secure a challenge for the now vacant title. Douglas has appeared on Sky TV, Ulster Tv and Grampian TV; he has fought in France Northern and Southern Ireland and all over the UK.

Daryn Thompson
Black Belt 1st Dan in Kickboxing.
Mr Thompson has been training with sensei Ross for more than 5 years. He teaches with the Satorishido Association in Aberdeen and has fought for the Scottish and the W.K.N British amateur titles.
Darren has fought the best on the Kickboxing circuit and has appeared on Channel5 television, after winning the Scottish Title, he competed for the British Title at the home boxing in York Hall at Bethnal Green London, unfortunately he sustained a broken nose early in the bout which the doctor at ringside deemed too serious to continue.

Darren has unselfishly turned his attentions towards his students and has devoted much of his time to the development of young prospective Kickboxing talent in the club. Sensei Ross is sure Darren will be back to take up the challenge of the ring again,fighters like Darren have so much to offer sport.

Steve Cannon
Steve has been an instructor for the mixed kickboxing class at the Satorishido Martial Arts Association headquarters at James Ramsey Park for a few years now and like all our other instructors he is always will to pass on his knowledge and help each student. Steve has also fought at some of our previous show and is still instructing at Ramsey park for the mixed kickboxing class as well as the kids kickboxing class which is going from strenght to strength.

Moira Wharton
Black Belt Kickboxing
Moira was the first lady blackbelt kickboxer within the Satorishido Association. Moira regulary takes the ladies classes at the Association Headquarters at James Ramsey Park, Fraserburgh. Moira has also fought for the club in Ireland and is always willing to pass on her knowledge to her students.

Nicola has been an instructor for over a year and regularly takes the ladies class at the Association headquarters at James Ramsey Park.
Nicola has been in the ring at previous kickboxing shows in aberdeen and fought demo bought with stuart McGowan , an ex world champion. |
