Results of the Belfast fights 27th January 2007
                          Park Avenue Hotel Belfast

Nicola Craigie (Satorishido) winner   V     Mary Hunter (Prokick)

Nicola Craigie weighed in at 60:6Kg her opponent Mary Hunter from the prokick camp in Belfast weighed in at 66:1Kg almost 6Kg of a difference.
Coach Albert Ross asked for the bout to go ahead despite the weight difference, the confidence he had in his fighter paid of on the night with Nicola taking the bout on a points win easily.
Her coach Mr Ross commented Nicola was never under any pressure throughout the bout she controlled the rounds from start to finish, it was a very convincing victory for her considering her opponents weight advantage.

The above match was fought with a glove concession

Lee Cooper (Satorishido)     V      Gary Fullerton (Prokick)
   Draw

Lee Cooper weighed in at 64:5Kg his opponent weighed in at 69:6Kg again the Irish fighters were over their weight but coach Ross decided they would still fight on the night and Lee gave one of the best fights of his career so far.
All the way through the fight Lee matched his opponent blow for blow at the start of the last round Lee’s corner could sense the Irish fighter had problems with his right eye.
Lee went out for the final round with the intent of stopping his opponent but the gutsy Irishman held on till the final bell.
The judges debated for some time and finally declared the bout a draw.
Coach Albert Ross said of the bout it was a measure of how good a fighter Lee Cooper is when you get a draw against a 6Kg heavier opponent at his home show, you have to say that is a good result.

This bout was fought with a glove concession

Darryn Thomson   Demo Bout    Andrew Grimason
 Satorishido                                  W.K.N World Champion
This demo bout was a last minute decision due to Darryn’s opponent not turning up on the night.
As it turned out it was for the best due to the fact Mr Thomson had a leg injury (ligament damage) his coach Albert Ross did not know about, Mr Ross commented it was very brave of Darryn to go to the fights with that injury but also very foolish.
So as not to have travelled all that way to Belfast and not get in the ring the demo bout was arranged between the two coaches Mr Ross and Mr Murray.
The bout started with both fighters showing their skill in kickboxing and Andrew the current World Champion was there to show why he was world champion.
Coach Ross watched from ring side as the Irish fighter started to turn up the heat concerned Darryn was not fighting fit and fearing his injury may worsen and this was only supposed to be a demo bout Coach Ross instructed his fighter Darryn to step up his power level in a bid to force the over enthusiastic Grimason to back off.
There must have been part of the message getting through because both fighters settled down to finish a good demonstration of kickboxing.

Adele Steinbach (Satorishido) Winner Points   V   Britt-Janne Marde

‘Stinger’ Steinbach weighed in at 60 kg and her opponent Britt-Janne Mardel Weighed in at 55 kg Due to the weight difference, a glove concession applied.  Steinbach wore 14 oz gloves, with Britt-Janne Mardel wearing just 10 oz.

Adele Stinger Steinbach, the current ladies British Champion, displayed on the night, the ease of which she won the fight.  From the outset, Steinbach dominated the fight, demonstrating her technical skills in both close combination fighting and distance fighting alike.
Steinbach’s hand skills proved far too advanced for her opponent leaving the Norwegian outmatched.
